“Ooh, dat’s cool. I’m gonna make one.”

Brett is our techie dude. He manages all things web, programming, and gadget oriented. And his embroidery skills are off the chain! After all, a sewing machine is just another gadget for him to master. Brett is also our house product photographer. He makes those stuffies work it AND own it. Basically, though, his job is to make the rest of us feel like technical morons. Mission accomplished. His other job is to apply his day job skills in QA to point out everything we mess up. Nobody likes a know-it-all, Brett.













“Oh, you know what we could do…”

Jake is our operations, financially inclined, industry reader-upper, and supply chain whatchacallits guy. He’s our main business visionary fella. He makes the phone calls to the guys who can tell us who the guys are that we need to be talking to. And then he talks to those guys. And he’s purdy good at it. We make him deal with the vendor people, because we don’t wanna. And we make him do the money, because we don’t wanna. Jake has worked for a Fortune 5 company for the past 9+ years and probably has the most pent up corporate resentment among the four of us. He really likes him some caffeine.

Jenny is one of nottaTOY’s sketchers, doodlers, copywriters, and all around scribblers. She is also the main man for translating our 2D drawings into 3D soft sculpture. She creates the patterns, templates, and mockups that lead to our final handmade prototypes. As our main stuffie engineer, Jenny has converted the rest of the nottaTOY gang in to sewing fools, Miyagi-style. Get a seam allowance wrong and we get a stern “hut-tut-tut…”, at which point we correct our boo boo. Oh, and she has a really cool dog.

Shay is our creative powerhouse. She makes our stuff mighty purdy. Shay is the other half of the sketching, doodling, copywriting, and all around scribbling team. She works with our other scribbler to develop our character designs. Shay takes rough sketches and slicks ‘em up all high-tech like. Then she works her magic creating all of our branding, logos, marketing junk, website, and all things nottaTOY-paraphernalia-related. Without her, we’d have a bunch of cheap clip-art-based crap. She balances her creative side with Nazi-like task-mastering, making lists, checking them twice, and telling us what to do. Go easy, Shay.
